Chris Nagel —
Subject Matter Expert
Please introduce yourself and describe, in broad terms, what you do for Delex.
My name is Chris Nagel. I work for Delex Systems on NAS Whidbey Island, WA, in the Pacific Northwest. I am employed by Delex as a Subject Matter Expert-Aircrew (SME-A) for the EP-3E aircraft. It is my responsibility to be able to explain the various aspects of the EP-3E mission and the aircraft’s electronic systems.
How do you feel about your work environment?
I thoroughly enjoy my working environment. In my position, I am able to work directly with the customer and can receive feedback from them in an instant. Being able to work directly with the customer has been conducive to a better product that is more tuned to what the customer needs.
What skills have you learned or developed at Delex?
I have learned various software applications that I would not normally have used in a day-to-day basis. I have learned a lot about curriculum development and the many items that must be taken into account when developing a particular piece of training. I also have definitely honed my skills at multi-tasking.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at Delex?
I cannot say that I have one single greatest accomplishment. I am very proud of all the work that I have done with Delex. Some projects had more flash, while some of the more mundane items were more difficult to complete. Each one had its own special sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.
