Please introduce yourself and describe, in broad terms, what you do for Delex.
I'm Dan Germano and I work in Digital Media Services. Using digital video, photography, and multimedia, we produce training and marketing materials for Delex. We provide everything from equipment photos to long-form training DVDs.
How do you feel about your work environment?
The best parts of this job are getting out on location, learning new things and finding creative ways to meet a challenge. Because we produce training for so many different commands, we always take a fresh approach to our work. It's great to have the freedom to create a finished product that had unique challenges to overcome and have a happy client.
What skills have you learned or developed at Delex?
Recently, we have been developing more digital photography products. This has given me the opportunity to learn more about these systems, specifically in spherical photography. I also enjoy designing new graphics ideas and using the latest tools to add uniqueness to our products.
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment at Delex?
Our goal is to inform, and if something we produce here saves a life or prevents injury to a student, that is the greatest accomplishment possible.
